SILCHAR: Two bookies had been arrested from the Shivaji Nagar space of Silchar city on Wednesday night time for allegedly accepting bets on the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Cachar superintendent of police Numal Mahatto instructed mediapersons at his workplace on Friday night that the police, primarily based on a tip-off, raided a home in Shivaji Nagar on Wednesday night time and arrested two bookies recognized as Gautam Roy and Rupak Modak.
