
Guwahati: The full crew of the Election Commission will likely be right here on a two-day go to to oversee and monitor the continued delimitation train for redrawing the territorial boundaries of the state’s meeting and parliamentary constituencies.
Chief electoral officer (Assam) Nitin Khade on Saturday stated chief election commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar and the 2 election commissioners, Anup Chandra Pandey and Arun Goel, have determined to go to the state from March 26 to twenty-eight “for knowing the ground reality and expectations of the stakeholders and general public from the commission on the ongoing delimitation exercise in Assam.”
“During this period, the commission would like to interact with political parties, public representatives, civil societies, social organisations and state administration officials, including district election officers and deputy commissioners of all districts of the state, to gather first-hand information and inputs concerning the ongoing process of delimitation in the state,” Khade added.
