
AIZAWL: A 29-year-old militant belonging to the Kuki-Chin National Army, a Bangladesh-based insurgent outfit, was arrested by Assam Rifles in Mizoram’s Lawngtlai district, the paramilitary organisation stated in an announcement.
The rebel, recognized as Faliansang Bawm, was allegedly staying at a home in Bungtlang village for a while, the assertion stated.
Acting on a tip-off, Assam Rifles personnel raided the home and nabbed the militant on Friday, it stated, including he was handed over to the state police.
