
Out of the 81, 75 non-gazetted workers have been conferred with Lok Sewa Award, whereas the opposite six gazetted workers have been conferred with Karmashree Award on the perform.
The Assam authorities has been observing August 5, the loss of life anniversary of the primary chief minister of impartial Assam Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi, as Lok Kalyan Divas as a mark of tribute for the final couple of years.
Attending the occasion, CM Sarma stated the rationale behind observing the day as Lok Kalyan Divas was to pay tributes to Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi for his contributions in the direction of strengthening of the Assamese group. In his speech, Sarma referred Gopinath Bordoloi as an architect of recent Assam, an excellent freedom fighter and an insightful politician.
Lauding the efforts put in by the federal government workers, the CM stated, “Officials and staff are the main pillars of public services. Commitment towards their duties and assigned tasks are indispensable for a welfare state. Dedicated employees of the government are honoured with Lok Sewa and Karmashree awards so that they remain motivated and continue to render dedicated services.”
Those conferred with Lok Sewa Awards get an extension of service interval, the CM added.
