
GUWAHATI: An Army jawan was trampled to death by a wild elephant in Narengi cantonment in Guwahati, officers stated on Sunday.
Khamlian Kap was on obligation when the elephant strayed into the cantonment space from the close by Amchang Wildlife Sanctuary and attacked him on Saturday night. Kap was engaged with the 222 Advance Base Ordnance Depot (ABOD).
Police stated he was rushed to the bottom hospital in Basistha the place he succumbed to his accidents.
Meanwhile, a verbal advisory was issued by the Army officers to its personnel and their relations in Narengi to “shed complacency” and watch out whereas shifting contained in the cantonment, particularly alongside the Thimayya and Manekshaw roads.
