Guwahati: Justice Sandeep Mehta on Wednesday was sworn in because the Chief Justice (CJ) of Gauhati High Court. The oath was administered by outgoing Assam governor Jagadish Mukhi on the Durbar Hall of Raj Bhawan in Guwahati.
Prior to this, Justice Mehta was appointed because the Judge of the Rajasthan High Court on May 30, 2011, and is because of retire on January 10, 2025.
On Sunday, Justice Mehta was appointed because the Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court. The put up lately fell vacant following the retirement of Justice RM Chhaya.
