AIZAWL: A havildar of the second battalion of Mizoram Armed Police (MAP) gunned down two of his colleagues in a match of rage on the Buarchep Police outpost on Sunday.
IGP (Headquarters) and chief public relations officer of the state police John Neihlaia on Monday mentioned Chakma shot havildars J Lalrohlua (51) and Indra Kumar Rai (53) together with his AK-47 assault rifle in an inebriated state. “While Lalrohlua died on the spot, Rai succumbed to his injuries after being taken to the nearby Vairengte Community Health Centre at 7.20 pm,” Neihlaia mentioned.
