AIZAWL: Villagers of Darzo on the Myanmar border in south Mizoram’s Hnahthial district collected totally different objects of warm clothes and bedclothes and distributed them amongst 70 non-tribal road building workers on Saturday.
Workers obtained the clothes at their camp, about 2 km from the village, as winter has already set in and so they have minimal clothes to hold themselves warm.
The labourers are engaged within the upkeep of the road between Darzo and South Vanlaiphai.
Members of Young Mizo Association collected the objects from the villagers. There are about 300 households within the hamlet.
