Guwahati: At least 4 employees of Meghalaya’s Trinamool unit have been injured in an alleged assault by ruling NPP employees at Charbatapara village in Phulbari meeting constituency of West Garo Hills on Tuesday evening.
TMC alleged that the incident happened at 10.30pm on the residence of a celebration employee, Nozrul Hoque, once they have been having an election assembly. Four of the party workers were injured, while one of them — Nozrul Hoque — was taken to Goalpara as referred by the Phulbari Hospital since he was seriously injured in the attack,” Mominin alleged.
Strongly condemning the assault, he stated, “It was orchestrated by the NPP workers. I learned that the Shyamnagar MDC instigated it. I request the ECI to conduct a proper inquiry to ascertain the truth.”
