Guwahati: Over 8.57 lakh encroachers are occupying greater than 5,404 sq km of land throughout Assam, the state meeting was knowledgeable on Friday.

In a written reply to a question by the chief of opposition, Debabrata Saikia, income and catastrophe administration minister Jogen Mohan stated a complete of 8,57,060 individuals are dwelling on authorities, forest, wetland, Satra and railway lands throughout the state.
